Today, dental implants are totally different from the ‘false teeth’ you’ve perhaps heard about before. They are held in place entirely using robust titanium implants, they look and feel just like the genuine article and can be used to restore everything from a single tooth to an entire set.
We’ll start by using our on-site equipment to take an X-Ray and make sure your jawbone is strong enough to take dental implants. In a small number of instances, a strengthening process is recommended before commencing.
When we’re confident all is well, we’ll fit the titanium implants in a quick and simple treatment under local anaesthetic. These work as a completely new root for your replacement teeth.
When the new teeth are in place, it usually takes about a week before you can go back to enjoying your favourite foods. But don’t forget you can begin smiling again immediately.
